Instructions for applying for a license to publish kitchen utensils

Kitchen utensils are items that contact directly with food such as knives, scissors, pans, plastic bags, plastic food containers, appliances, dishes and cooking utensils, etc. doesn't include household products powered by electric tools. Kitchen utensils can also be used to hold or store food before or after preparation. Because they are all items that contact directly with food so before being delivered to consumers, they must declare the quality of kitchen utensils according to the provisions of Decree 15/2018/ND-CP issued by the Ministry of Health.

1. Required documents

• Business license (notarized copy)
• Test result sheet (original or legal copy)
• Completed product sample for comparison when submitting application
• Certificate of eligibility for food hygiene and safety (legal copy)
• Certificate of conformity with HACCP or ISO 22000 or equivalent (if any).

In addition, depending on whether the product is imported or domestically produced, these following additional documents need to be prepared:
For imported kitchen utensils:

• Product samples
• Business registration license of the importing company (notarized copy)
• Certificate of Free Sale
• CA (Certificate Of Analysis) - The manufacturer's component analysis or test sheet (for key quality criteria, quality indicators and related criteria) of the manufacturer or of independent inspection agency of the origin country
• Product label or photo of product label and draft of additional labeling content (with trader's stamp)
• 03 product label samples (Color labels in the form of image files).

For domestically produced kitchen utensils:

• Business registration license of the company putting the product on the market (notarized copy)
• Certificate of eligibility for food hygiene and safety (notarized copy)
• Product sample or product inspection result sheet
• Product label or photo of product label and draft of additional labeling content (with trader's stamp)
• 03 product label samples (Color labels in the form of image files).

2.Time for approval and completion of procedures

• Time to complete the approval and issue the license to announce the quality of kitchen utensils is 15 days after receiving the complete application
• The validity period of the license is 3 years.
